About MICHELIN Guide Texas
The inaugural MICHELIN Guide Texas was released in November 2024, marking a significant milestone in the state's culinary scene. The Guide highlights exceptional dining establishments across five major cities: Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio.
Through the first two years, Austin has emerged as a standout, securing seven of the 18 MICHELIN One Star awards distributed statewide. Additionally, the city garnered 16 Bib Gourmand distinctions and had 26 restaurants recommended in the guide. Notably, Austin received three out of four MICHELIN Green Stars, awarded to Dai Due, Emmer & Rye and Nixta Taqueria for their commitment to sustainable gastronomy. Edgar Rico of Nixta Taqueria also received the Young Chef Award in 2024, underscoring Austin's vibrant and innovative culinary landscape. In 2025, Celia Pellegrini of Suerte and Este won the MICHELIN Sommelier Award.
